Safer Pesticide Laws for Australia

Have your say to help ensure dangerous pesticides are not allowed to be used in Australia.

The current regulatory system is broken and allows this:·

At least 17 pesticides registered for use in Australian agriculture are suspected carcinogens, and 48 are potential hormone disruptors!*

 Over 80 pesticides used in Australia are banned in the European Union because they are dangerous to human health and the environment.·        

Eight chemicals with known health and environment risks have been under review by our regulator for more than 13 years! 
Next Action to take

Make a submission to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) on the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Reform

before the 29th February 2012.
